The end of an era

It really is the end of an era. The townhouse that I called home for three years and then Joey for 3 more had its last weekend with the Aultman kids. Joey official moves to Atlanta Tuesday and the condo is being rented out to new college kids. I had to have just one more evening in the house so Catherine and I drove down to Tuscaloosa. We had such a ball hanging out with all our friends, I hated to say goodbye!!!

Girl's night out!

Thursday night I headed downtown in Huntsville to catch up with an old friend! We met in 4th grade and randomly have both landed in Huntsville, AL! We had so much fun just catching up on old times, about middle school and how horrible it was, the boys we have dated and broken up with, our new jobs and our future plans. We also discovered that we both LOVE the Bachelorette! Soooo.....Monday night we are getting together to watch it and I get to see her mom after all these years! I am so excited!!

Father's Day 2010

After a weekend of fun in the sun, I made the trek down to Birmingham to tell my Daddy that not only is he the greatest man but also that no other father can compare to MY DADDY! He is the most giving, kind, loving, best advice giving, genuine, thoughtful, smart and funny man I have ever met and I am one proud daughter. Dad has given his little girl the world and remains the rock that I lean on pretty much every day. I cannot begin to explain how blessed I am to have this wonderful man that I get to call Daddy, I LOVE YOU with all my heart!
I grabbed Golden Rule BBQ on the way into town (ps by the way....yumm!) and a red velvet cake for the celebration. We all ate and chatted for a few hours about all kinds of stuff! Everyone gave their opinions on my king size comforters I had purchased and the Ralph Lauren Comforter was the winner! We also made plans for Joey's big move to Atlanta next weekend! Poor old Dad has to help move furniture from Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, AND Birmingham over to Atlanta so you can imagine the absurd list of to-dos! After making the plans and celebrating the big man's day we all headed back home. What a lovely way to end a wonderful summertime weekend!

Lunch with the Ladies!

On Thursday the girls met up at the Limestone Bay Trading Co. in Mooresville, AL. It is the most adorable restaurant that I had no clue even existed. It looks like an old southern farmhouse and when you walk inside it feels like you stepped back in time to homemade jellies, handmade furniture and grandma's cooking. It was even featured in the southern girls other bible, Southern Living!!! Anna Claire, Katie, Casey and myself all met up for an hour an a half of great conversation. We all have had so much going on lately, AC just gave birth to twins, Casey is an engineer by day and photographer by night and Katie is in the process of moving here permanently from Charelston, SC to work out on the arsenal. We had so much fun just chatting about babies, careers, husbands/boyfriends and all our upcoming plans that we lost track of time. The lovely lunch ended with the most delicious cheesecake ever, Dreamsicle Cheesecake! Yum! http://www.limestonebay.com/
