Ladies Bunco Night
Bunco is to ladies what poker is to men: a fun night out with friends! On Thursday night some ladies met up at Bonnie’s house to eat, drink, play Bunco and be merry!! It was so much fun, I didn’t want the night to end! After the game we passed around a sign up sheet, we have 9 official members of Ladies Bunco Night, we will have 3 open spots at the next game and then it is official!! Every second Thursday of the month we will meet at a member’s house to play!! I am so excited it all came together and it will now become a regular event!!
Bunco is a dice game with no skill involved - it's all luck and the roll of the dice; with ladies gathering to chat, win a little cash, and yell out, "Bunco!"
The Yummy spread that everyone contributed to!!

Recently in addition to my full time job, I have been working on a lot of Christmas orders! Business is booming which is great but exhausting! I still cannot believe I get paid to do something I enjoy so much!! It amazes me every time a new order comes in and how I get excited all over again! Lately the hand sewn stockings have been the hot sellers along with the totes, they are great gifts and if you are interested click on the link and shoot an email to southernbellesstore@gmail.com to place an order!!
I have 2 more totes and 2 more houndstooth stocking orders that came in today alone! Yay!

Frontiers: A Tribute to Journey Concert
On Friday night Mr. Biggs and I headed up to visit my bff in Huntsville for a Journey cover band concert! Frontiers: A Tribute to Journey is a band out of Virginal that tours the country covering all the big Journey hits! If you know me, you I seriously HEART Journey!
The bestie and myself put on our dancing shoes and headed downtown after a few hours of long overdue conversation!! (I even got my Christmas presents from Tory and Mrs. Hall!! The necklace I am wearing is one of them!! I think it is so pretty!!) We decided to pregame a bit downtown at Humphries before heading over to Crossroads. We had a few cocktails, a little dinner and we were off to go sing and dance to my favorite band’s music!!!
In fact, I am such a huge fan, and also I will talk to anyone at any given situation, at their last concert I ended up making friends with the band. Tory and I had our names on the list!! Guys, for real, I felt so special!! Tory and I had such a fun girl’s night! In fact we ended up running into some of our friends at the concert!!
What a fun night out on the town!! They played all my favorites!!
“Girl cant help it”, “Lights”, “Open Arms”, and of course my absolute favorite song of all time, “Don’t stop believing”.
Iron Bowl 2010
The Iron bowl this year was in Tuscaloosa! My Dad has been so generous over the years to take us to every home game buying 4 season tickets each year. This Iron bowl was extra special since I gave Chase his big Christmas present a little early! Normally Joey would have sat with Mom, Dad, and myself but this year Aimee, his girlfriend, has a set of student tickets. Long story short, Chase attended his very first Iron Bowl at Bryant Denny!!! I ended up upgrading a student ticket so Joey and Aimee could sit together and Chase sat with my family!! It was so much fun, at least, up until about the fourth quarter and we started losing to those darn Auburn fans!
Thanksgiving 2010
Thanksgiving this year was just beautiful! Mom had an amazing spread and the table was decorated so cute! I was so happy to have Mom and Dad, Joey and Aimee, and Chase there to celebrate! We had tons of food, laughter and conversation! It was a lovely opportunity to give thanks and remember how truly blessed we all are!! Above are Chase and Joey breaking the wish bone! Chase got the bigger side and got to make a Thanksgiving wish!!
The spread included a lot of delicious food! I made two firsts this year in addition to my normal food. I made my first cheese ball and cheesecake!! They were so pretty I had to take pictures!! I also made homemade mac n cheese, Gran-Gran’s Banana Pudding, The Hall’s blue cheese dip with roasted asparagus, sausage balls and Puppy Chow!! That is just what I cooked!! Mom had Turkey and Dressing with gravy, cranberry slices, potato casserole, deviled eggs, and rolls. YUMMY!!
The night before the Thanksgiving festivities all the kids met at Blackwell’s Tavern and we had a special treat!! Aimee’s cousin performed for us!! He is a very talented musician! It was awesome that a few of the brothers and sisters got to have a little fun before over stuffing our plates and it made for a great evening filled with family, friends, and some good tunes!
After Thanksgiving it is a tradition to put up a tree, the roomie and myself have our tree up at the apartment but I haven’t taken a picture because I need to get a tree topper to match the new ornaments! Below is Chase’s tree!!! He refuses to decorate so in the hopes of possibly spreading just a teensy bit of Christmas spirit in Scrooge’s, I mean Chase’s house; I bought a tree and decorated it for him! Now we just need to get some presents under there!! I think it turned out beautifully!! Happy Holidays everyone!!
