David Gray & Ray Lamontagne Concert

After a fabulous week at the beach, yesterday I drove from Orange Beach, AL to Nashville, TN to top of the best week ever with an absolutely amazing concert! Amy and I went to the David Gray concert at the Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville. A really awesome chick opened first, she is from Nashville and has the loveliest voice! Then Ray Lamontagne took the stage and I became a convert, everyone said if you hear him live you will fall in love with his bluesy, very soulful music, and they were right!!
Amy and I after the most amazing concert!
David Gray puts on the most amazing concerts, you have to go to you tube and check out some of his live performances! Ray Lamontagne, my favorite song was "Like Rock and Roll and Radio" it was perfectly fitting and gave me chills. Here are some of the lyrics....
Are you still in love with me
Like the way it used to be, or is it changing?
Does it deepen over time
Like the river that is winding through the canyon?
Are you still in love with her?
Do you remember how you were before the sorrow?
Are you closer for the tears
Or has the weight of all the years left you hollow?
Are we strangers now?

David played all four of my "really want to hear" songs, "This Year's Love, Sail Away, Nemesis, and Fugitive"!!!!

Orange Beach 2010

It was that time again, the Aultman family Orange Beach trip! So much fun!
Where we stayed!
The oil FREE beach!
Aimee and Joey at dinner
My lovely Mother

Dance Dance revolution!

Peach Park

On my way down to the beach I stopped by Peach Park and met up with a college buddy I haven't seen in 5 years! He lives in Clanton, AL and works right next to Peach Park. When I was little, my family would always stop and get ice cream as a treat if we behaved well on the car ride home. So to take a trip down memory lane and get to catch up with Stephen, I stopped for ice cream and a few hours of conversation on my way down to the beach! I made him take a picture with me to remember the occasion!

I also grabbed some goodies for the beach! The pasta will be macaroni and cheese for the first home game next weekend!

Yay for rewards at work!

My company has a reward program for all employees to win points for different things you do for the company such as great sales, Rookie of the Year (hey hey hey!), winning a monthly challenge etc. I logged in tonight since we will be having, to quote our CEO, "massive layoffs" this week and cleared out all my points. I decided that if the company is going to let me go, I better use up my points before I lose the ability to! So.....I was "rewarded" FREE tickets to this year's Alabama/Tennessee game at Neyland Stadium!!! I am so excited! I also chose a "right hand ring" so I can remember the good old days with my company! Yay for free stuff!!!
