As you all know I was laid off in a massive reduction in headcount about a week ago. Four days into unemployment I was told that I was accepted as an interview candidate, I was up for the Huntsville/Birmingham position with the same company and it was quite the process. I had a phone interview with HR on Friday, on the following Thursday I had my interview with the District Manager in Atlanta, and on Friday (while driving down to Birmingham behind the moving truck, with my car loaded to capacity, and the Jeep overheating) I had a phone interview with the Regional Manager. After getting to the apartment in Birmingham, I had my final phone interview with the District manager (while the movers are toting everything I own into the new apartment) and waited about an hour to get the call back that I had been offered the job!
Wheew, it is exhausting just talking about this past week's events! I beat out the #4 representative in the nation for the position and honestly, if I am going to get the job, I want to know I earned it and that my friends was quite a task!!! I am now a Professional Pharmaceutical Representative for the
Shionogi Specialty 1 division, also known as Women's Health. I will be marketing Prenatal Vitamins and
Pondstel to
OBGYNs around Birmingham and North Alabama! I am beyond thrilled! I have wanted this position for a long time and although it was a very roundabout way of obtaining the territory, I knew if I just put it all in God's hands, he would take care of me! My prayers have been answered!
Tory and I met up for an evening before I headed to Chattanooga for some overdue girl chat!!
